ITV has released new information about Endeavour Series 2. The series will consist of four two-hour stories, the first of which will pick up four months after the events at the end of the first series. Endeavour, back after the death of his father and having only just healed from his gunshot wound, is immediately thrown into a major case.
Apparently DI Thursday will be worried that Endeavour has lost his creative edge, and there may be a love interest on the horizon, although – alas, poor Morse — we know it won’t last!
ITV hasn’t set an air date yet, but series one ran in April. Here’s hoping that the new series is only a month away.
On PBS the first series was broadcast in July.
I’ll send along updates/promos as they become available.
Just a reminder to North American viewers that as of today (May 28th) all five episodes of the first series of the BBC’s serial killer crime drama The Fall are available streaming online on Netflix.
The BBC’s deal with Netflix gives viewers the opportunity to watch the series while it’s still being broadcast in the UK.
Also good news for fans is that a second series has been commissioned. It appears that the first series may end on a cliff hanger so that the second series will pick up with the same killer rather than with a fresh case.
