Grantchester, Vera and Janet King

Just a reminder that the second series of Grantchester (already underway on ITV) will begin airing on PBS on Sunday, March 27.

On Acorn TV you can enjoy the most recent series of Vera starting Monday, March 21, with a new episode (four total) up every Monday.

Also coming to Acorn is Janet King.  This Australian courtroom drama staring A Place to Call Home’s Marta Dusseldorp, will begin on Monday, March 14 with the first of eight episodes.

Endeavour Returns!

Series 3 of the ever excellent Endeavour returns to ITV on January 3rd for the first of four new episodes. You can watch a promo here.

The PBS broadcast date has yet to be announced.

New Series of Lewis!

Series 9 of Lewis begins tomorrow (October 6th) on ITV. The series will consist of three separate two-part episodes.

No word yet on when PBS will air the episodes, but it probably won’t be until 2016.

Partners in Crime Coming Soon

Now that we have had to bid adieu to ITV’s Poirot, it’s the BBC’s turn to take up the Agatha Christie challenge.

Their first effort will be two new Tommy and Tuppence Beresford adaptations. Christie wrote four Tommy and Tuppence novels (and some short stories) that follow the couple’s sleuthing adventures.

The two novels being adapted this time are The Secret Adversary and N or M? and will be set in the 1950s. Both will consist of three episodes and are due to begin sometime this month (July).
